Yes, that's a risk but we haven't noticed anything like that for the past few months we are running this. Maybe using `127.0.0.1` is actually having the [reverse effect](https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/blob/c3aef491d66aec743a3a53e934a494f653745b61/config/initializers/rack_attack.rb#L41-L43)?

Is it ok if we manually and periodically delete the contents of `public/system/cache/` ?

Closing this as we have a [new development environment](https://github.com/greenpeace/planet4-develop) now that seems to work more reliably on Apple silicon.

Any update on this? This could really be useful if possible.
