convert raw to mzIdentML or mzTab

Dear developers, I need to convert my Thermo raw files to mzIdentML or mzTab (for submitting to Pride). A) Do you have a recommended procedure/ sequence to get to this format ? B) Rather on long term, would it be possible to add mzIdentML or mzTab as output format(s) ? I suppose other people would also be interested in making complete submissions to Pride ...

Hi Wolfang,

Thermo raw files cannot be converted to mzIdentML or mzTab as the raw files do not contain the identification results required for mzIdentML files nor the processed quantification results required for mzTab files.

To convert to either of these formats you have to look for export options from the search engine software you used to identify and/or quantify your data using the Thermo raw files as input. Many of these provide exports to one or both of the wanted formats.
