In order to maintain the same syntax for the command line parameters, the required entries for input / output file or directory have been uniformized.

This seems to be a duplicate of #178.

@caetera That's partly true, but #178 contains commits that are off-topic. That's why I created this PR. Wolfgang would have to take back 178. Unfortunately I have no rights to do so.
