Process Not Running (qcomgpsd)
Describe the bug
Hi! I'm running latest openpilot (release3-staging branch) on my VW. Occasionally (today it's every few hours of driving) OP disengages with "Process not running" error. If I try to re-engage it, it reports the same error with "qcomgpsd" mentioned.
I did not notice any pattern with how often it happens, for example it happened in a crowded city and in the middle of nowhere on the highway.
I'm not sure if it's relevant, but I'm getting it on the Sunnypilot too. But this report is about stock OP.
Any ideas what it could be caused by?

Found a very similar report from another user (and a different car) hinting at a hardware issue (now closed): https://github.com/commaai/openpilot/issues/33996
For anyone else reading: I contacted support and they immediately sent me a prepaid label to return the unit. Once it arrived to them, they mailed me a replacement. This was within the warranty period (about a month since the original purchase).
I never heard back from them on the technical details (i.e. if this is a known problem or if anyone even looked into the logs), it was very strict "here is a return label, please ship it back for a replacement". I hope someone technical will still look at this report, read the logs and share what exactly happened, what triggered it, how to repro it and how to make sure my new unit is better.
Ah I did that ticket. It was a flaky (internal) USB connection with your modem.
