@anilCSE we're hoping to have an RC tagged today so @kaustubhkapatral can to a final round of tests against that.

Closing this PR in favor of #1501 which was merged earlier today.

Once #1478 get's merged we should be able to move forward with this.

If we go forward with this, we should make sure that this is merging into a new `release/v4.1.x` branch instead of `4.0.x`.
