Actually, upgrading to macOS 12.5 fixed this issue.

I've confirmed with Apple, that this is indeed the case. Now they consider this behaviour as correct, when the size passed to ```CGDataProviderCreateWithData``` is 0.

Allow to reset scanner

Well, I knew that I forgot somewhere to reply...anyway, nope, I wasn't able to find a better way to do that. Almost a year later, this hack still works :)
