What do you mean by disconnected? If it is not attached to zwift?
Its been unplugged for a couple weeks. I just plugged in the power, nothing else, and it resumed climbing indefinitely. I let it run for a few seconds before unplugging...

The only thing plugged in was the power. I will open the unit up later and report back.
Nothing in here looks tangled or twisted to me. 
I'm having the same problem.
This worked for me, with one caveat. there is one directory listed here that was different for me. its a huge string of numbers and letters containing the Autodesk Identity...
