I ended up rolling my own version of unit tests in the plugin, but I am still curious how your team implemented it.

This would be a sweet feature to have. Maybe something toggle-able? So that you can turn it on when debugging, then turn it off when writing code.

I can help out with this issue, if you haven't started yet.

Has anyone started work on this yet? If not, I can see what I can do for the simple case.
