That is the original data. If you can recreate the problem creating the file that would be great, my guess is that is what happened.

@ercius How many slices? Is the application still responsive?

@JoannaLeng Thanks for reporting this. The colormap is build up in C++ so shouldn't be effected by changes you made to python. It is strange that ParaView doesn't exhibit that...

@JoannaLeng Absolutely you can access past releases [here](https://github.com/OpenChemistry/tomviz/releases). Narrowing down which release it was broken in would be great, I am guessing that 1.9.0 will probably work, fingers crossed.

The sledgehammer approach of creating a new volume mapper seems to resolve this issue. So essentially re-initializing the mapper with the full data seems to resolve the issue.

@cquammen Did you make any progress on 2 and 3? May be this is something @psavery could take over.

@apryor6 Not currently, but could easily be added, is it just a free form string?
