I'm not sure, but I'd prefer not to risk something going wrong by them being out of sync.

This has been attempted before: https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/pull/33738. There were some weird bugs with chromas when installing system-wide.

I experienced this problem on my x86_64 Linux system as well, haven't tried the fix yet.

@Johnnynator pinging you because you were able to help last time, do you think these errors are due to something on sof's end or alsa-lib's end?

Let's see if it builds properly on others archs now.
