Nmdm stale lock

HI,

Am not sure what the correct method is to completely shut down VM and console, from the host machine itself.

For now, i do vm stop.. and then search for PIDS and then kill off all processes.

When I restart VM, and the console, I get a warning when the machine is booting: Stale lock on nmdm-ubunt.1B PID=4848... overriding.

How to do clean stop and start? Alternatively, is there a way to get rid of these messages?
