@mimi89999 I agree that's not ideal. I'd like to disable non-FS as well but if it breaks everyone using the wrong curve, that's a dealbreaker... :-\
I think originally it was written without oid/sid support, and it would discard duplicate elementIds sent by the same buddy, which turns out was a violation of the spec anyway....
Is there a message to be received (confirmed on another device), or is it an issue caused by the server sending out a "high priority" push notification for non-message content?...

@kmq I'm pretty sure that's exactly what's happening, and that some XMPP servers may be occasionally returning empty device lists or something, triggering that behavior.

Not to worry, notifications with body/sender are generated locally on the device.
You're probably double-registered for push notifications, you'll need to reset your push account: Account Settings -> Server Information -> Reset Push
