Yes, PureLine needs Bash v4 minimum bescause it uses associative arrays. The issue was first mentionein in [Issue 7](https://github.com/chris-marsh/pureline/issues/9). I don't have access to OSX, but from what I read,...

Commit https://github.com/chris-marsh/pureline/commit/a75d929444c9738dd4deb7f6d7ef68f251c78beb changed PL_ERASE_TO_EOL default to false. IIRC, it seems to depend on the terminal emulator as to which option works best.

https://github.com/chris-marsh/pureline/pull/45 has now been merged. I am considering adding an option for placing segments on the right or left.
