My 2 cents on the topic, we can mimic the way we implemented things for delta and keep this on the python side of things via the `scan_ds`

A little older topic, but would the maintainers consider merging `jni_fn` in this repository? This branch works for scala projects also, `jni_fn = { git = "https://gitlab.com/antonok/jni_fn.git", branch = "scala-class-dollars"...

Need to track this on delta-rs side. Thanks for raising the ticket

@pomadchin and @jodersky proposing a alternate solution if it has not been considered already. Regarding the platform identification, - currently we are relying on `uname` which doesn't work with windows...
