Yes, I see this isn't ported to .12 yet. I also found a PR that fixes this, but it apparently breaks travis so it is held up for now.
I recommend using the requests library. I is far more popular. This doesn't seem maintained. Leaving this open, but I'm unsubscribed.
Some people don't use APIs just because they can run models locally. +1 to this issue. This is a really interesting project, but it's difficult to use for most people....
