My use case is logging how many outstanding connections right now to get a sense of the load.
Would like to see streaming processing become main stream in ClickHouse :)

Thanks for reporting this issue. We only supported / validated clang-16 tool chain for compiling for the latest code base.
We shall override `virtual std::optional totalRows(const Settings &) const` in external stream storage, which means `SELECT count() table(external_stream)` shall returned very fast without scanning from beginning to end.

With `WithAlignment` JoinTransform, the combination could be a bit bigger, but let's see if it makes things / perf better
