As far as I see, LaTeX is the best solution for typesetting documents of this size (book-like, ~500 pages). HTML is well suited for small content that is not separated...

are you trying that on existing index or on a fresh install? Which version of elasticsearch are you using?

I think it would be enough if the search would just match more than just the start of the table name.

hitting enter on the search will display guide results only, but I agree that the quick results could be improved.

should be fixed by https://github.com/yiisoft/yii2/issues/8843 already. note that this only works completely in 2.0.7-dev version of yii framework (https://github.com/yiisoft/yii2/issues/9415). Gii version should not matter much.
