Wow, I actually managed to pass the markdown lint CI check on the first try!
The link https://www.slowrush.dev/news/rocking-shields/ should be live and working now (just published it), so if you rerun the CI job then it should pass - in theory.
I have implemented this in [a branch in my fork](https://github.com/caspark/ggrs/tree/move-synchronization-to-socket-layer); it works but I haven't written any tests for it yet so I'll hold off PRing until I get around...
@Phara0h You're welcome to take over my work if you like, as I likely won't have time in the next few months[^time] - from memory my sync-less fork works perfectly...
