I like it! Additional test cards would definitely be useful with custom text in text boxes. The static cards would be very easy to add in ppm or bmp format...

Static images pose a problem when used with HackTV's dynamic sample rates. They would need to be resized, which is nowhere near as precise as generating them on the fly....

ffmpeg decoding is done in a separate thread, though most other things are in a single one.

Alternatively, you can supply wildcards or limited regexp in filenames. ./hacktv -f 855250000 -g 47 somedir/[L-P]*.mkv

I have exactly the same issue. Ruby 2.0.0, Puppet 3.8.7. The solution is to ensure that only encryptor 1.3 gem is installed and not 3.0.0
