Additional boot options not listed if submenu present

Using Ubuntu 15.10 (gnome-shell 3.16.4-0ubuntu1) if submenu entries are present only "Ubuntu" is available via drop down menu. Removing submenu section shows other options & seems to work correctly. Same...
