Need ability to assign folders/paths to search for VST plugins.

Pretty much what the title says. I think an option in the settings area->Audio, or a 'Tools' top menu option would be the way to go.

Ability to load/parse correctly shell Plug-ins

So you can wrap a several VST plug-ins in a 'single' one. This is called a "Shell Plug-in" and some of the bigger ones (Waves, for example) use this technique....

Crashing VSTs
