make filet(1) man page look better

For your information: troff(1) does not just ignore empty lines, but it does ignore lines with nothing but a dot.

So, when you write documents to be processed with troff(1) (or something like mandoc(1)), one shouldn’t write empty lines (or the not very portable .P macro).

I see. Also, what is the difference between \fR and \fP while we're at it?

Here it does not really matter much, but \fP is the previous font, whereas \fR is always the roman font.

So maybe you want, for some reason, to use a different font in your man page: You’d mount it at the beginning of the file somewhere and use it as the current font. Then, \fP makes your new font the current one instead of forcing the roman font.
