Every time the swiper re-renders the image changes to the last one but index remains 0

I am seeing the same behavior on iOS. Setting loop={false} does indeed fix it, but not ideal.

Android: ANR caused in ApplicationNotResponding 0.75.2

I am seeing a similar crash with React Native 0.75.2 and react-native-reanimated 3.15.1 on Android, but the crash only happens on a physical device (emulator does not crash).
