As far as the area vs length issue you mentioned, if the user wants to draw _histograms_ as opposed to bar charts, then the height of each bar is normalized...

I'm extremely new to this -- wasn't even aware that it would be possible to write tests for onClick behavior. I'll see if I can come up with something useful...

Can awkward and awkward1 coexist? We're using a few packages that have awkward as dependencies
