I think this is a bug to do with Vite itself. And not this repo. I generally bypass it by saving vite.config.js which effectively reboots the server and reactivates HMR...

I think its okay to stay. We can be a tad bit careful and I think it'll have its advantages in the long run. So we don't sit around waiting...
