I dont know how well it works...I threw it together in 2 mins I've taken a different approach and scrapped capt in favour of thor + guard to create templates/scaffolds...

sasl's fairly common in otp applications... for anyone wanting a quick start from console you can do this before starting emongo application:start(sasl).
