I think this is no real solution. Many networks requires specific mac adresses. Wouldn't if better to read the mac before each request and set it explicitly with every call...

This change fixed the problem on my cluster.

This would be a great feature for providing laptops bundled with the correct chargers/power supplies.

We solved this problems by increasing the version number of the module. We habe a permanently offset of one hundred to the offical upstream version. Since this change it works...
