I assume the panel is light transparent like in MATE? And with a dark background, the panel is also dark.
Maybe it's not real a bug: Setting a background via `Edit -> Backgrounds` "fixes" the issue, but resetting it turns it back to black.

Why should this work? pCloud provides filehosting, no CalDAV calendars or CardDAV Addressbooks.
On Arch GTA V also fails with Proton, but runs with Wine Staging 3.14 and DXVK 0.70 without any additions. CPU: AMD FX 6300 GPU: AMD RX 460

Did you check for elasticsearch errors in its logs? In my case, the issue seems to have been caused by too small heap size setting for elasticsearch, which crashed then...
