Are you running on emulator or real device? It works fine on the devices I have tested. I have implemented the same download module here : https://github.com/bimsina/reWalls .
@kpk-i710 It's working in the master branch of flutter. You can switch to the master branch for now if that's possible.
Change the version in _pubspec.yaml_ to **cached_network_image: ^2.0.0**
I actually was able to successfully build the code. But I had to create a new project and copy the code from the repository and had to change the plugin...
