I'm not particularly well versed on the auth side of things, but I did want to make a comment on the approach for AWS Lambda for sake of more complete...

@snese Sorry for missing your comment. We can't comment on launch dates, but I've at least updated the list with Hong Kong and Bahrain.

App Mesh is now Generally Available in: - EU (Stockholm) - eu-north-1 - Middle East (Bahrain) - me-south-1 - South America (São Paulo) - sa-east-1

@naile Thanks for reporting this. I'll follow up with the team that operates the ECS console.

@naile The integration should be enabled in the next 1-2 weeks; they'll need to do a deployment. In the meantime, you can define the envoy container for the task definition...

Similarly, customer-reported case of envoy not handling redirects, so http->https upgrades aren't handled for mesh-originated traffic: https://github.com/aws/aws-app-mesh-roadmap/issues/317
