It's still reproducible and it's been 4 years since this is reported. Does this project have an active development lifecycle? Or is there no maintainers left?

Hi @bdukes . The issue is not related to subdirectory creation in any way. In your last paragraph you stated that for the ambiguity cases, the alias should take precedence....
