You're right, the HTML output from Go templates leave much to be desired ... Note that I think this should be implemented in the same place as we do output...
This is actually harder than it seems (I have looked at it). For one, github.com/yosssi/gohtml has some bugs in it and it's not very fast.

I'm closing this. I'm not going to complicate the parser to fix this. If this problem is real (which I doubt), it can be easily avoided by the user.
I just checked this, and yes, it does not copy any non-content files. Maybe it should. Not sure.
I need to reconsider/refine this one, so I'll reopen to remind me.
I have enabled this for page + section right now. Will have to think about this a little bit. Testing it and it wasn't that powerful as I hoped --...
