Ok. Can you try using version 2.1.1. There were some changes in v2.1.0 that may have addressed the issue.

I am extremely hesitant to add Gesture Handler as a dependency. Have you tried Pressable?

I don't have the time to test this thoroughly atm. I would recommend using `patch-package` in the interim.
