This is unfortunate. I really like the improvements we were able to make with async, but it's pretty unreasonable to ask for all Windows users to not use the default...

Can you try the code in https://github.com/sorin-ionescu/prezto/pull/1805 and let me know if that fixes the issue for you? It's a brand new implementation which doesn't use zsh-async at all.

Looks like we're tracking this in #1488. I'll try to investigate a bit more in depth later.

I like this idea, but I don't think I'll have time to develop it any time in the near future.

Alternatively, it may be possible to export these as man pages and add a directory to the `$MANPATH`
