Correct Symbol without unread messages: Incorrect symbol with unread messages: This is on OpenSuse Tumbleweed (fresh install two days ago) + KDE plasma 6.5.2
Seems to work for me - no indication in the task-bar, but in the system tray. Whatever changed - thanks :)
(My versions match the versions from @devurandom except I'm on X11 & kernel 6.17.8-1 opensuse tumbleweed)
I think only thing changing was I did a tumbleweed rolling release update of all packages + today I finally restarted the computer. In the morning prior to the update...
On Wayland: edit: back on X11 it works again. as stated before, I don't think I switched between X11/Wayland
oh no - it's ugly again - I didnt restart this time (I did need to restart zulip for some reason)
