Any news on that? Currently I'm experimenting with "arcadehid" project but as mentioned before, the project is now long abandoned.

I tested FreeJoy encoder code in separate project. It works but pin configuration had to be changed to PullDown. Most of encoders use different polarity than assumed here.

No chances in my opinion. This project uses hardware encoder support, you can add here up to 3 encoders this way but modifications in the code have to be made.
