I just ran this against my Prosody server and it works using Python v3.4, if it still fails let me know what server your trying against ... removed startup lines...

Are you trying to create a bot that will get an event when any other user tries to register with the server? The example code shows how to handle in-band...

@simonmcc apologies for the delay in responding! deploy-master-canary.sh wasn't included because it uses an internal tool, but that doesn't mean we couldn't have included it with that part commented out!...

for what it's worth, I only see four colours in your sample above but I can tell it should be five because of the size of the first three boxes
