Probably there is `/opt` as symlink and it is inaccessible.
TUC-ET5G users tend to report relatively slow speeds. If you could attach the iperf measurement logs, I might be able to find out something.
Does disconnecting other devices change the situation?
What TypeC-A conversion adapter do you use? Some adapters are of poor quality, and using such adapters may cause problems with Synology even if they work properly on your PC.

USB performance does not seem to be sufficient for older platforms. Perhaps USB-connected HDDs are about the same speed.
