I'm also having this issue. I'm just trying to beautify some vanilla JavaScript but I keep getting this error. Reinstalling atom-beautify doesn't help.

This work takes a long time and I suspect it's a thankless job. Hopefully it will get updated but for now, I'm grateful for the work that David has done....

Best to use original version (old official release) unless you're having issues with it.
