The actual reason is [a bug in specific libfaad2 versions i.e. 2.9.0 and 2.9.1](https://github.com/Opendigitalradio/dablin#ubuntu-2004-faad2-and-he-aac-v2-services). If the package source doesn't provide a fixed version, you will have to compile that library...

Hmm, I'm really curious why v2.8.8 makes problems; the version from audiocoding.com compiles both the DRM and the non-DRM lib version. Also Ubuntu 18.04 ships both versions....
