Had the same issue, installed this driver instead: https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8188eus/ Aircrack driver works good in monitor mode.

Try to compare output of `get_all_params()`. I had similar issue, for me difference was in `Newton` vs `Gradient` leaf_estimation_method.

Surprised that the best python scraping library does not have SOCKS5 proxy support at 2017. It's very sad :(
