Hmm, interesting – I just tried this: ``` service: notify.basement_desk data: message: This is a test ``` ...and it worked as expected. If you try that same service call, does...

Fascinating! Thanks for testing. Let's close this for now, but if you encounter further issues, don't hesitate to post back here. 👍🏻

Good find, @Anto79-ops! We should make it so the logging in that case is less opaque (and doesn't sound like some sort of error occurred).

@bdraco As discussed, solving that in the underlying library: https://github.com/home-assistant/core/pull/79010. Once that's merged, I'll rebase back here.

@bdraco Lost the creation of those entities in a rebase somewhere. Just added back: ![CleanShot 2022-09-23 at 16 05 07](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/47216/192063048-6dfa4b4e-bd96-40a2-96e3-507dbf295cf1.png)

Thanks for the nudge, @elupus! The latest leaves the binary sensor in place and adjusts the Repairs item to indicate that it will be removed in the future.

Latest leaves the existing sensor in place for now and simply notifies the user that it will be removed in a future version.

@dlehammer Two-year-old links have a tendency to do that. 😉 Here's the latest: https://github.com/bachya/ecowitt2mqtt/blob/dev/.github/workflows/publish-docker.yml
