How are you syncing your notes ? With the https://github.com/owncloud/client ? What do you have in the settings of ownNote in the ownCloud preferences ? "Database and folder"

It's already implemented, if you let the note modified and opened, after some time, the note is saved.

Hello, If you already have an 'ownnote' folder in the 'apps' folder of your ownCloud installation, you could get this message. Try to move this folder and retry the activation....
