Please add documentation using `import` instead of `required`

A lot of projects now use a new import syntax. Updating the README to use import will help keep this project easier to adopt.

unshift documentation is wrong

items -1, 0 should not be there. We just unshifted -2, so only -2 should be there. Also `toString()` produces `[Object object]` for me ![Image](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/c85753fa-4bf7-41f7-a9ed-a4a9fd9f03d2)
