thanks for you reply mainmachine, MIMIC_XPAD=false did the trick. Joystic is working in jstest-gtk and it is no longer stuck in kodi. However it's working fine in Steam but not...

@raelgc tried that, still not working in Kodi (with controller enabled or disabled)

i'm closing the project which contains the step defs but the editor is still reporting that it finds 2 identical step defs (on hover and CTRL) and underlines the sentences....
