No, there's no need to build the standalone version, although whatever we do should not interfere with it (nor in the build or at runtime).

`backend_properties` is meant for other stuff. For the `execute` method we are interested in `run_config` (the last parameter). This is the one that is populated to the `backend.run()` method.
