If we used ggvis we could produce web-browser ready reports which would also fix the Windows interactive viewer problem (http://ggvis.rstudio.com/).

Thinking about this, perhaps a D3 based library would be easier, e.g. http://nvd3.org/

If brentp's pull request is accepted I would recommend using mpld3. http://mpld3.github.io/
