The two timers are currently completely separate. Are you saying that the old timer (the pin one) should start with the time that the new timer (the client-side new one)...

OK, good case. We need to integrate the two timers better. From the UI they should appear to be just one timer with a 'pinned' option.

How about using the timeline view instead?
