This exact same issue happens for me as well. In my case I'm using @react-navigation/material-top-tabs for tabs instead. Curious enough, the issue doesn't occur until I hit the Tab key....

trimWhitespace converts the image to image/png and doesn't seem to honor imageType='image/svg+xml'. is this intended?
