The suggested alternatives aren't an option for this add-on. Some one can gladly create a NewPipe add-on (if it's possible), and there have been issues related to this suggestion many...

In the YouTube addon `Settings - MPEG-DASH - Use for videos` then set your quality there as well

I have actually stated, that I wasn't able to work on any of my projects for a while. And was trying to get another issue working, failed at doing so...
